Phillip M. Prasnicki, 74 of Gilman, died Monday, August 19, 2019 at
Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on May 23, 1945 to the late
Alois and Gabriella (Trulik) Prasnicki. Phil grew up in the Gilman
and Phillips area and graduated from Gilman High School. He went
on to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War. He returned to the
area and worked for Payne & Dolan Construction Company for
several years before starting his own business Prasnicki Forest
Products of which he was the owner and operator for 30 years. In
2005, he returned to working road construction and retired from
James Peterson Sons, Inc. construction company. After retiring, he
continued to work part time grading roads for various townships.  
He enjoyed operating heavy equipment, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Michelle (Bill) Rudy of Mondovi,
Paula (Ken) Karwoski of Viroqua, Michael Prasnicki of Hudson and
Danelle Prasnicki of Stratford, his grandchildren, Andrew, Kirstin,
Kirklan, Kamden, Kylen and Paige and one great grandson; Aiden.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Steve, John,
Michael, Henry and Martin and sisters, Veronica, Mary, Agnes,
Barbara, Rose and Anne.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, August 27th
at the Gilman Funeral Home with Inurnment in Meadowbrook
Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
