Agnes R Herman, 93, formerly of Boyd, died Friday, January
13, 2017 at Oakbrook Nursing Home-Thorp. She was born on
March 2, 1923 in Stanley the daughter of the late August and
Theresa (Gabauer) Kranig, SR. She grew up in the area and
married Alfred Herman on April 3, 1945 at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church-Edson. The couple farmed for many years.
Agnes was also a homemaker and a well-known seamstress.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose (Gary) Licht of Cadott,
grandchildren, Dan (Sharon) Licht of Holmen, Wendy (Doug
Carbone) Licht of Jupiter, FL, Mandy (Shawn) Schoelzel of
Chippewa Falls and Cory (Emma Jereczek) Licht of Onalaska
and five great grandchildren, Chad and Julya Licht, Briar and
Taylor Schoelzel and Kaiden Licht. Agnes is preceded in
death by her parents, her husband Alfred (2008), her infant
son, Joseph, sisters, Marie Schreier, Josephine Zais and
Margaret Pilgrim, and two brothers, Augie and Earl Kranig.
A visitation will be held from 1-4 PM on Sunday, January 15th
at the Plombon funeral home-Stanley. Burial of cremains will
take place later in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
