Obituary:
Arden Michael Wagner, 79, formerly of Wausau, died on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, while surrounded by his three children.He was born on December 24, 1945 in Chippewa Falls to the late Robert and June (Flora) Wagner. Arden grew up south of Stanley and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School.
Arden was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War where he worked as a helicopter mechanic.
He married Karen Mary Krivoshein on May 13, 1972, in Wausau.
Arden worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail sorter for more than forty years. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, playing cards, and visiting with friends and family.
He is survived by his three children, Cynthia (Sean) Sandquist of Little Canada, Minnesota, Paul (Monica) Wagner of Eagan, Minnesota, Matthew Wagner of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; his three grandchildren Elizabeth, Lily, and Liam; his brothers, Dennis and Robert (Ann) Wagner both of Stanley, Gordon Wagner of Chippewa Falls and James Wagner of Madison; his sisters, Darlys (Bob) Chapek of Cadott and Charlene Johnson of Birchwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Roger, Maynard and Douglas.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13th from 1-3 PM at the Funeral Home in Stanley, Wisconsin.
