Obituary:

Karen Ann (Williams) Sedlachek, age 59, of Gilman Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday April 29th, 2025. She died at home peacefully in her sleep, after a courageous battle with terminal cancer.

Karen was born on May 25, 1965, in Stanley Wisconsin to Hugh and Roberta (Peterson) Williams. She grew up near Jump River where she also attended school. Karen worked at several places through the years, including an ice cream shop, Cenex, and a grocery store. She spent 25 years working at Walgreens, starting as a photography technician, eventually working her way up to management.

Karen enjoyed volleyball, wood burning, crafts, fishing, and various water sports. She loved holidays and birthdays, often decorating; but Christmas was always her favorite. She loved country and classic rock music, warm coffee and chocolate… but what she loved the most was spending time with her grandkids.

In the course of her life, Karen gave birth to three children. Krystal to Eugene Novak, Mitchell to Ernest Heath, and Nicole to Michael Williams.

Karen rediscovered her faith in recent years with the help of her close friend Miriam. She was baptized into the faith in February of 2025.

Karen is survived by her children Krystal (David) Leek of Austin, MN; Mitchell (Ashlei) Heath of Iola, WI; and Nicole Williams of Madison, WI; her three grandchildren Calvin Leek, Lillian and Emma Heath; her three siblings Hugh (Patsy) Williams, Danny Williams, and LeRoy (Rhonda) Williams, and sister- in-law Roxanne Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dave Williams and his eldest daughter Heather.

Celebration of life is to be held Saturday, May 10th 2025 at Gilman Park Pavilion, Gilman, Wisconsin at 1 PM.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
