Sam J. Zagorski

Obituary:

Sam J. Zagorski, 75 of Lublin, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital from natural causes. He was born Samuel John Zagorski to the late William and Magdalena (Hazel) Zagorski. Sam grew up in the Town of Grover attending area schools and graduating from Gilman High School.

After high school Sam taught school in Montana for a time. He returned to the area and married Theresa Sackman on December 19, 1985.

Sam farmed and worked for the Town of Grover grading and for the last few years at the recycling center for the Village of Lublin. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, going for “Joy Rides” and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Theresa, his daughter, Celena (Eric) Luchinski of Withee, sons, Jim (Heather) Zagorski of Gilman and Alex Zagorski of St. Paul, MN, 5 grandchildren, Brian, Aubrey, Daniella, Lee and Autumn, his brothers, Joe and Ben and his sisters, Dorothy, Marge, Patricia, Sandy and Barb. Sam is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Stosh, Steve and Rich.

A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon-5PM on Saturday, August 2nd at the Lublin Pavillion. All are welcome! Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family.
