Obituary:

Mario Scott “Scotty” Sanchez was called home by his Lord on May 3, 2026. He resided in St. Francis, WI. having lived in the Milwaukee area for many years. He was born to Antonia Sanchez on January 6, 1958 in Camden, NJ. They moved to Chicago, IL where Antonia met and married Leroy J. Roque. They had two daughters together and Scotty became a brother.

The family moved to an 80-acre farm 10 miles south of Stanley, WI in the township of Wilson. The home had four massive white pine trees in the front yard and Scotty loved to climb to the very top of them and enjoy the spectacular view. Scotty also loved art and was a wonderful artist.

He once said, “His heart and soul never left this place though his body traveled far.” He attended and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School (1972-1976). Soon after graduating, he trained with the Brethren Volunteer Service in Maryland - taking group trips to many places on the Eastern seaboard including Washington, D.C., and civil war battlefields in Virginia and West Virginia. He also served at Camp Mack in Indiana through Brethren Volunteer Service. He served in the Army in Alaska.

Scotty would walk for miles and miles on the trails around Milwaukee; along Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers. He loved being in nature, which was cultivated from his time living on the farm south of Stanley.

One of his favorite pastimes was watching the reruns of ‘Little House on the Prairie.’ He knew many of the episodes by heart. Scotty is survived by his two sisters, Lisa A. (Michael) Weaver of Tomahawk, WI and Kimberly A. Carlo of Chippewa Falls, WI; seven nephews and many great-nephews and great-nieces.

A service will be held at a later date. Plombon’s Funeral Home in Stanley, WI is assisting the family.
