March 13, 1955 - January 16, 2025

Obituary:

Leslie Thomas White, 69 of rural Boyd, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Leslie was born on March 13, 1955 in Stanley to the late Thomas and Eleanor Pearl (Stelter) White. He lived many years in Racine, WI as a bricklayer with D’Alie Masonry and various other companies throughout his career including Hanson Masonry where he retired from. He was known to have a very artistic eye for his trade. He was a gearhead. Talking with his brothers about Mopars, old cars and drag racing meant the world to him. His ’71 Dodge Demon was his baby. Hunting and fishing with his family was very near and dear to his heart. The camaraderie was what he really wanted out of any outdoor activity. He loved coaching the young men for years in RYS youth football. He did more than coaching football, though, he was a positive influence for many of them that had no one else in their lives at that time.

Family: family is what meant the most to him. He loved his family and they loved him. His hugs were unforgettable. There isn’t enough paper or time to list the many amazing things about him. Leslie loved to love!

He is survived by his fiancé and partner in crime of 23 years, Lucy Nitz of Boyd, his son, Shane (Margaret) White of Greenwood and their son Sullivan, his daughter, Danielle White of Racine and her children, Mekhi and Emmett, the mother of his children, Debbie J. White, his siblings, Rodney (Amy) White of Thorp, Diane Zavala of Racine, Mark (Jennifer) White of Arizona and Debbie (Sam) White-Munoz of Tennessee, his step kids, Loren (Kristen) Schultze of Baraboo, Tom (Tasha) Schultze of Thorp and their children, Abby, Ally, Kailee and Emma Lee, Curtis (Brittany) Nitz of Lake Hallie and their children, Ryleigh, Claire, Kayden, Emery and Jasper, Emily (Tyler) Nitz of Chippewa Falls and their children, Layne and Jesslyn. Leslie is further survived by his inherited brothers and sisters. Les is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Violet Bockhouse and Marlene White and his brother, Lavern in infancy and his brother in law, David Zavala.

A memorial service will be held at Noon on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley with Barry Acker officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service on Friday.
